Beyond Pain

If love was really worth it
Why does it equate with hatred?
If it’s so magical and lit
Why does it feel like a poison in my head?

If you love to love
Why do you seek refuge?
Knowing that love is a storm
Why do you keep on searching for solitude?

Love is beyond pain
That’s why I fear it the most
I am nothing but a coward
But I’d rather be that than be love-overdosed

Love is nothing but a myth
Something undeniably uncertain
It runs within the mind of fools
To hide what’s beyond their dirty curtain

If you love to love
Why do you inflict pain?
If you love to love
Then why did your love end up to be in vain?
